Biography

About:

The Comical Mishaps is a three-person band formed in the later days of 2004. Originally just a two-some, Andrew Kempf met Chuck Gowdy at a party, where he discovered he knew how to play drums. After a brief conversation, Mr. Gowdy was a now the newest member of the rock trio. However, due to Chuck's devastating enrollment into Penn State University, The Comical MIshaps have had to find a replacement drummer while he is away. Introduce Tim Gallagher, a hard-working man with a passion for music and drumming. We are a band that is very much focused on the music. We may never be f... (+) expand

When I commented and said that it was "whiney-emo", it was more on the comment about the genre of music that I don't care for. If you were aiming for this genre, then you hit the nail on the head. If you weren't, then, like I said in my last post... it needed to be more polished, harmonies tightened, etc. Yes, very much a song for teenagers, if that is your aim, then excellent, you succeeded. But being much older than a teenager *sigh*, I can't relate that that style of music. Listen, if I didn't care, I wouldn't have said anything. I apologize for my initial lack of distinct constructive criticism. :)

Well don't take it personal! You've gotta take the good with that bad. I think there is potential, but it needs to be polished. Right now it's teenagery

"Beneath the Hallway"
That's the one! I just listened to it a couple days ago, so I knew I wasn't crazy!

Did you delete a song? I had bumped one, but now there aren't any with me in there.

I think it's just my own aesthetics. Your music reminds me of an underproduced, pop-infused Slick Shoes, without the breakneck punk tempo; not the type of thing I normally find appealing. It also has a certain coming of age innocence that I associate with bands I listened to in my grade school years (Further Seems Forever, The Juliana Theory, The Early November, early Taking Back Sunday demos, etc.)

Sorry if that was ambiguous, it was a compliment.

Your music has an odd appeal.
