Songwriter and pianist Cyrus Gabrysch is a both an ally, and a misfit in the recent swell of alternative folk music sweeping the UK. His melodic, gravel-pitted vocals combined with the songwriting influences of Jacques Brel, John Martyn, Devendra Bernhardt, David Bowie, Ray Charles, Tom Waits, Howlin’ Wolf, and The Pogues.
