Biography

Captain's Log, the year of the OverSteed, 837290
Tumbled back through time, a midnight adventure quickly abated, our Captain and crew found themselves contemplating with the only living faces capable of facing their capabilities: themselves. So, without a second glance, DANCE BAND pounced on their prey of the fray to once more bring us back to the glory of the day. This website offers music lovers , but not to download. The unique twist is that listeners can earn points by bumping up songs that you like that catches on with other listeners and they too can bump the song up, too. Listeners are the ultimate judges of the song's success or failure. It's kind of like American Idol on steroids.

I remember dancing to babymaker at the nomad in saint paul when i lived there. the unavoidable pregnancy that followed caused me to move, seeing as naming "shakin'it" as the father was not accepted.

"Dance Band seems to come from both another time and another planet, but a planet where disco and funk are things citizens are required to do before breakfast each morning." - howwastheshow.com

"It seems a band with a name this overt must either be ironic or doomed to failure. But Dance Band has successfully transcended the pinnacle of sarcasm to voyage in a whole new land of sincerity. They want you to dance as they sing in matching jumpsuits (or equally audacious costuming) about clapping, dancing, and riding bicycles- and you probably will. This is becuase Dance Band is the love child of a late night rendezvous between Devo and P-Funk on Seasame Street. -vita.mn
