Springfield, Illinois native Daniel Knox began making music by sneaking into the Chicago Hilton Tower’s Grand Ballroom to teach himself to play the piano. He has since shared stages with legendary filmmaker David Lynch, Rufus Wainwright, Jarvis Cocker, Damon Albarn, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, and the Handsome Family, performed at Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center, and contributed vocals to Cocker’s Further Complications. He is a rogue at the piano, crooning, sneering and shouting so that his cast of characters may speak.
