I've used Toad and Peach on occasion, yes. I have also used QuadraSID, which is an awesome C64 vst, not to mention Basic64 as well.

Magical 8bit, but for the most part I actually use 3xOSC (FL Studio) and LSDJ samples. 3xOSC comes in handy if you have 12.5% and 25% pulse waveforms in .wav for the waveform loader. Thanks much for the comment!
