tl;dr - nerdcore rapper, pianist, singer, MC, general lunatic
It all started as a joke, an exercise to find another outlet for my love of all things writing. After having nearly illegal amounts of fun writing my first track "Eating Emo Kids for Breakfast" over a Lil' Jon instrumental, I found my way into nerdcore. Lurking distantly behind the scenes, I absorbed information, tricks, and tips about rapping and producing. Never had I found an online community such as this; it was turbulent, creative, and filled with some of the most talented people I had ever encountered. Over time, I learned from nerdcore greats like MC_Loki and Deafinition; they imparted their wisdom to me and I accepted it as a humble rhyming apprentice. I found that rap, especially nerdcore, was an extremely valid form of music, and here I could put my talents as a self-proclaimed wordsmith and bibliophile to use. And the best part was, it combined my other love: music. I've been involved with music all of my life, playing piano for eleven years and the trumpet for nine. Singing was always present in my life, and I could even include that in my rap songs. A whole new world opened up to me. It was filled with hardship, trials, and even senseless drama, but I had never found something so rewarding. Completing songs, even those never released, was a satisfaction I had never known. And so I continue to learn from those with knowledge and stories to share, representing the next generation with creativity, dignity, compassion, and a bit of morbid sarcasm.
A little about me: My name is Sara. I'm a sophomore at a private liberal arts college, pursuing a double major in English and Spanish. I am a writer and linguist, first and foremost! Music is my second love - singing, piano, trumpet, and of course, MCing! Video games are a big part of my life, favorites including: Soul Caliber, Kingdom Hearts, Guilty Gear, DDR, ITG, WoW, Team Fortress 2, Counterstrike, HALO, Rock Band, Dark Cloud, FFXII... I'm a huge nerd. I occasionally LARP Vampire: The Masquerade and play Magic: the Gathering. I love body mods/piercings and tattoos: I have one tattoo and three piercings! As my moniker suggests, I have type one diabetes; I'll have had it for 11 years this coming December. I've had extensive reconstructive kidney surgeries and am left with one mostly-functional kidney and badass scars!
