Tony Green, Is a composer and musician. He has been playing acoustic and electric bass for over thirty years. After finishing his music degree from the University of Colorado, Denver, he moved to Boston to study and perform. While in Boston he worked with various artists like Bill Burgess, Jamie Stewardson, Carl Clements, Kevin Kastning, Bob Young, Jennifer Trynin and Chris Greco to name a few. After Boston Tony moved to Los Angeles to work with singer songwriter Kevin Prosch touring the Americas, Europe and Australia in a band called ‘The Black Peppercorns’. While in LA, Tony had a chance to study with renowned bassist, Brian Bromberg. Tony has worked as a session musician and performed with many artists, most notably, Sarah Pillow, Marc Wagnon, Renata Youngblood, Sam Sparro, Martin Neil, Justin Catalino, Michael DeWinter, David J., Envoy , Andre Caporaso, Sleepy Ray, Mark Riley and even had the chance to play with his early musical hero Greg Lake of “Emerson, Lake and Palmer”. His most recent endeavors have been playing and recording with Jessica Penner, ‘The Quintet Offensive’ which features Gina Eckstine, the ‘Dry Martini Orchestra’ (A Rat Pack Review) and the jazz trio ‘Exhibit A’ with pianist Susan Costantini. Tony has just released his first solo CD ‘Mercy Through This Perilous Mischance’ which features many of the great musicians that he has worked with over the years. Tony has collaborated on two other CD’s. One with Composer/Drummer Bill burgess in a project called ‘Day 3’ Another with Composer/Guitarist Andre Caporaso called ‘While we Were Out’.
