Where I come from: I'm a small-town girl, but I was born in the city of Hamilton, Ontario- a town of magnolias, steel factories, and a lively arts culture. Home-educated by my singer-songwriter dad, and equally creative mom, I had early exposure to swing, blue-grass, boogie-woogie, folk, and rock and roll. Childhood memories of theatre arts, acoustic jam sessions and frequent Folk and Celtic Festivals made me who I am. I first learned to love the piano on the rainbow plastic keys of a fisher price baby grand. Later, with dad on the seat next to me, I beat out those first humble compositions and began to find my voice. I more recently fell in love with the acoustic guitar, especially when played at campfires. Currently I enjoy fiddling around on keys, strings, and various other instruments (glockenspiel, accordion, and melodica).

Life is short and I am young. Here in a world that is beautiful but falling apart, perhaps I just might have learned something worth singing about.

My time has been spent beating out the last details of songs for my upcoming demo.

Influences: Ingrid Michaelson, The Beatles, Nickel Creek, Damien Rice, Bruce Cockburn, Joni Mitchell, Jack Johnson, Colbie Callait, Adele, Imogen Heap
