Emma Jade, is a 17 year old Country/Pop singer songwriter from a small town in England called Doncaster.
Emma Jade started off singing Shania Twain songs as a young girl. She later found her love for Johhny Cash. In Emma Jades words "It was as if my voice was made to sing country because when I open my mouth to sing I turn into a completely different person!" The first song Emma learned to play on her guitar was 'teardrops on my guitar' by Taylor Swift. Emma instantly fell in love with the guitar and has even garned an endorsement by Tanglewood guitars.
Emma Jade started playing small gigs in her home town. She said "at first people didn't really get me. They didn't understand why at 15 I would rather listen to Tim McGraw or Blake Shelton than people like Beyonce and Chris Brown. Country music in the UK is not what it is in the States.
Emma has played in many local venues and has also performed in a nationwide competition called "OpenMicUK" where she advanced to the Semi Finals. She has also had radio play locally and has played at the 'Doncaster Live' Festival. In both of her 'Battle of the Band' appearances, Emma made it to the Semi-Final rounds.
Emma's YouTube videos have been acknowledged and included in the Official Whitney Duncan Fan Club Website. Emma Jade is planning to travel to Nashville in February of 2012 and will be performing in a Folk Festivali in the UK next year.
She is currently in studio working on writing and recording her debut album, as well as her debut single "Country Heart" The debut single. Emma will be traveling to Nashville, TN for Teen Hoot in February 2012.
