Encyclopedia was a rock band band from Yeovil, UK. Benjamin Wood and Oliver Herdsman started Encyclopedia in 2004.

They named the band after the book of the same name. Encyclopedia made an album called 'So Hot Right Now' which was released in the UK on T-Shirt Records (their own label) and in Japan on Littlebird Records.

After the initial two, there were then three more people in Encyclopedia. That's potentially two and a half times more rock 'n' roll. They recorded and toured from 2008 until mid 2009 when they split - but not before releasing another album.
