In reference to Knockin.
It's kind of funny cause I know some folks just don't like to hear a cover done by someone else.
I can appreciate that so the kind words are very much appreciated.
Here's something that makes this cover even more interesting, the drummer and guitarist were only 13 and 15 when they recorded this. I was quite pleased with how it turned out considering our inexperience at the time not to mention our first attempt at recording a cd.
Thanks for the kind remarks.

OTR put up one of their best songs in my opinion...Hallelujah. Go listen. It's amazing.

Yup. Never Gonna Give You Up. FTW. It's an awesome track. I'm in the studio as we speak mixing! Both DVC and OTR's new albums are almost done! I have crash into me right now.... that's another track I solo'd on... not the best, but I'll put it up since you asked.

Awesome, definately sent the email.... I didn't realize what it was asking when I signed up that I couldn't change the name... Hopefully sam+ James will hook me up. If you know the group, tell me what other songs you would like me to upload. I am the Recording Engineer, and Producer of their new album, and it will be finished this month... it's going to KNOCK people out. Some amazing stuff, Rick Astley, Guster, Outkast... bunch of peeps.

absolutely accurate observations, both of them. i heard jose gonzales' cover long before i heard the real version, and i personally like it more.

also, the imitation of other people's voices when i do covers is not really a conscious decision, but i've noticed it too. i hope i don't imitate them to the point of being annoying. then of course whenever i do a beatles song i try to hide my american accent a little bit, it just doesn't sound right singing a beatles song with an american accent, y'know? same's true of iron & wine and damien rice. for the most part though i just sound like them unintentionally because i've listened to their version so many times.

whew, sorry for the long comment, thanks a lot for your comment and for checking out my website and listening to my songs, i really appreciate it a lot, i hope you like my songs!

don't worry, they'll eventually find their way. we do this in the interest of the artist -- it's better to spread out your "hits" to maximize audience exposure.

I understand. I kinda think its a flaw though, cause the difference in quality is huge, as illustrated by the number of bumps since its been on the new page. only chart system ive ever seen that only allows you to be popular 1 song at a time, anywho, thanks for clearing it up for me. I appreciate it.

Have a good'n

It looks pretty solid. One error of mine was "establishing musicians" should be "established musicians".

What do you mean by format? I posted a reply on the forum that might cover what you want, but let me know if you want something more specific.
