Fatty grew up in the suburbs of Boston, living in an old Civil War era farm house that was haunted by a ghost named Cyrus. She played with her brothers and friends on the banks of the Charles River and in the woods and caves once inhabited by accused witches hiding from the law. Her college experience was unfortunately wrought with homophobic confrontations, harassment, and exclusion, and in many ways this prompted a retreat from the world. Fatty found hip hop poetry & lyricism to be empowering and passionate, and began writing anything she thought up, without really taking the endeavor seriously. Back in Boston, after school, Fatty began using music as a means of teaching in an after school and a summer arts program, and was constantly telling kids to follow their dreams. The message hit home and in 2009, just after winning WoW Radio's WoW Idol, she moved to Brooklyn, NY to start working on her creative career more actively. Soon after, she won the BlizzCon song contest with her track "/nerdcore." Fatty's demo e.p., "Daily Heroic," represents this first attempt at making it as an entertainer.
