“Brilliant live band. Fabulously fiery folk!”
-AKW Discovery Talent.

“Mix front man Michael Baker’s distinctive vocal with grippingly tight harmonies, intelligent lyrics and the feel good factor of ‘Stray Cats’ crossed with ‘Beautiful South’ and you have the musical equivalent of winning the lottery, they’ll have you singing your heart out before you can say Felix Fables!” - MTM Radio.

Felix Fables are a British folk band with an inimitable hard-hitting sound. Their unique stamp on folk music draws from elements of Americana, Blues and Indie and is over-scored by soaring four-part harmonies.

Conjuring up thoughts of beauty and raw grit the band’s electrifying stage presence challenges themselves and their audiences to have a far better time than anyone would believe possible!

Their debut album ‘In This Town’ was released in late 2011 and captures the sound of the band in an ‘almost-live’ setting – using only minimal overdubs to deliver a raw and exciting example of this band’s incredible live persona. The addition of tasteful trumpet, organ, banjo and mandolin to the core sound of the band creates a big sound that is still in touch with its roots in the rehearsal rooms where the songs were first written.

It was recorded in one week over the summer at the Fold Studios in South London and is available to buy on iTunes and direct from the band at live appearances.

The band also works closely with artist and illustrator Gareth Roberts. His creativity coupled with the music continually pushes the band’s vision to new and exciting levels. Gareth designs the artwork and has directed and shot a number of videos for the band including the dream inspired Wonderful World and the beautiful Snowy Mountain Tops video.

With a dedicated fan base across London and the South East and with an impressive list of festivals and venues already under there belt (Including Beach Break Live in Wales, The Great Escape Brighton, Tramlines festival Sheffield, The Jazz Café, The Bedford, O2 Indigo arena, O2 December Sessions London and many venues across Paris) the Fables are without doubt ones to watch through 2012!
