The live performance project of Dan, Troy, and Anthony, and Washy Jenkins of the valley of the sun whose favorite venue is the Rogue Bar in southern Scottsdale, AZ. Field Trip believes in the holy moment and always hits a single note in unison before a show if they have any sense. Matt "Brownbear" Newcomb plays a pivotal role in fied trip as Magister Ludi and top advisor/consultant of the band when they are at their most dire hour.
Field Trip had it's beginnings in a Phoenix 55+ apartment community where singer/songwriter Alvernon weaseled his way in and began recording music on a 4-track. Before long Jon Darc, (Bass and Vocals) and Brown bear Matt (drums) joined and they began playing shows in the Phoenix Valley and northern Arizona. There music has been classified as a power-folk with pop-sensibility. Field Trip draws influences from all kinds of artists and genres. Field Trip is on an endless search for holy moments. Field Trip is an eccentric story teller's band. They are a happy-go-lucky group even when it's sad-sucky-stucky time. A field trip is fun. But one must have a signed permission slip.
With the fall of the economy Jon & Matt relocated to California and Carolina respectively in order to survive. Danny added Troy M. and Anthony M to the band in early Spring of 2009. Since then the band has started work on new songs and continues to play shows around the Phoenix Valley.
