rack suggestion | 15 may 08 7:49 p.m. I know more popular does not = better, but amount of bumps is definitely an indication of how good a song is. The dead cowboys on the rack that have been there for weeks or months without very much attention are probably not going to make it and kind of make it tedious to even listen to the rack.
I realize some genius will go unappreciated if you streamline it, but a lot more people will have the motivation to connect with new music if you make it more enjoyable by getting rid of the unappealing stuff (by that I mean, stuff that no one has bothered to bump after countless days). |

Re: rack suggestion | 15 may 08 8:36 p.m. If a song comes up I don't want to listen to, I just click on the box that says "never play again" and that song never troubles me again.

Re: rack suggestion | 15 may 08 10:16 p.m. Besides, I kinda think that is the purpose of the rack. The reason we get points for the rack is because you are choosing to listen tracks with low bumps. You are gonna get a lot of stuff you don't care for.
Thank goodness for the "never play again" option. |

Re: rack suggestion | 16 may 08 10:11 a.m. Another crazy possibility: automatically add a "Play this never again" flag to a song, when it not reaches a certain amount of bumps within a certain amount of time. In that way you could motivate Listeners, who wants to keep the song in the pool, to give more bumps, or campaign for it amongst their friends.

Pretty much that. |

Re: rack suggestion | 16 may 08 10:37 a.m. mmm. maybe if it reaches a particularly low percentage of bumps to listens (or if a large enough number of people hit it with the "never play again" personal flag).
I'd hate something like September 29th to vanish because nobody found it. (I've never seen her on the rack, although I lost my torture fetish a long time ago) |

Another rack suggestion | 07 jun 08 3:48 p.m. OK - not knowing how computers really work - as far as I'm concerned it's all auto-magical...
But, with that said, any chance the rack can be created to only play what you have NOT bumped? I love to listen to the rack, but there have been times when it's song after song that I've already bumped. I can listen to my own radio for that, I'm listening to find music I haven't heard yet. I could "hit never play again", but that seems a bit tedious |

Re: Another rack suggestion | 09 jun 08 7:44 a.m. I'll bump that idea carolannepearce. Another would be to at lease identify songs I've already bumped.
