I think it's because I had the site open in different tab when I was trying to see something that was mentioned in the forums.

My profile pic is not updating on the forums. I have changed it a couple of times, but my pic on the forums never changes. How do I get it to update?

There's definite lag time as caches update. I see a sinking ocean liner for you, loyalty.

You're right, it usually is a cache issue. I've had the same thing happen a few times when I've switched, but manually clearing the cache (or even just restarting Firefox/IE/etc.) should take care of it for you.
