mp3's in temporary files | 01 jul 08 1:34 p.m. Someone informed us awhile back that you can somehow download free mp3s of any of the songs you have listened to on this site from a temporary file folder on your computer. You can own the music without paying for it even if it's not available for download through this site. I'm not quite sure how it's done, because I am a computer dinosaur myself. You might want to look into that because it might cause legal problems from bands in the future. Thanks

Re: mp3's in temporary files | 02 jul 08 12:20 a.m. In fact you can never stop people from illegally ripping off or downloading your music, or in other cases movies or pictures. Websites can't change that, as there are countless free programs available on the net to do this job. What the site owners can do is basically just not setting up a download button where the music isn't meant to be free for download, as well as writing down in the terms of service that it's illegal to steal copyright protected intellectual goods.
So the person who informed you was right, but it's not limited to any specific site on the net, nor is it, unfortunately, in the hands of the site owners :-/ |
