I submitted a friend's email address.
After this, anytime I clicked any link on the page, or even tried to close the tab via the x on the tab, an ajax popup came up in the lower right corner with the message "email is required"
I had two tabs open to the site in the same window. I was ultimately able to close the tab with ctrl-w.
I am running the latest stable firefox release.
