Re: MC Frontalot | 01 mar 08 5:39 p.m. MC Frontalot is frequently active in music communities like this one (SongFight.org & somesongs.com). I think getting him on here could be as simple as one of his fans sending him an email to tell him about it.

Re: MC Frontalot | 01 mar 08 11:02 p.m. So send him an email, krisis ;-)
In the 'Suggest an Artist' forum, there's a form letter that you can modify to send to artists, introducing them to the sixty one and begging asking them to join up. I contacted Liam Finn (begged? haha, practically) and never got a response. Too bad. He's touring now so maybe he's busy. I would think he has 'people' to do this type of thing for him though. |

Re: MC Frontalot | 01 mar 08 11:03 p.m. Doh, the HTML didn't work. 'begging' was supposed to have a strike through.

Re: MC Frontalot | 02 mar 08 8:36 a.m. If I liked him I would :) - I've just heard his music (and the resulting idolatry) a lot on other sites like this. Too much, perhaps.

Re: MC Frontalot | 03 mar 08 5:58 p.m. Sounds like someone's a bitter Songfighter.

Re: MC Frontalot | 03 mar 08 9:27 p.m. I mostly experienced MC Front on SomeSongs, which was sortof a proto-T61, in it's own way.
If I ever fought against him on SongFight perhaps I would be a little bitter, as I've definitely seen some awesome songs fall in the path of his voting bloc (one by Josh Woodward comes to mind). However, I was only ever in the same week as him once, and it was back in the multi-song days, so I probably got positive spillover from his fight. I ultimately get weary of any artist who is considered beyond improvement by any community. Even Frankie Big Face, who I adore beyond words, had room for improvements (and frequently admitted to it). T61 is different, since there's no pejorative judging element - just points for what you like, and an opportunity to find new things that tickle your fancy. I think MCF would probably thrive on both fronts, so I hope a fan invites him to the site! |

Re: MC Frontalot | 08 may 08 11:13 p.m. I am definitely surprised he is not on here already. We already have plenty of artists that he has inspired. If he signs up, they should add "Nerdcore Hip-Hop" as a genre.

Re: MC Frontalot | 02 jun 08 9:50 a.m. There were a lot of good songs in the Romantic Cheapskate fight at SF (which Front won handily). That was the first time I heard Abominominous. I think The Sober Irishman got my vote.
I don't remember if I ever Songfought against him. All the losses kind of blur into one another after a while. Heh. Anyway: Front would do well here, of course. |
