Changes to how multi-bumps are grouped | 30 dec 07 5:45 p.m.
Each listener now has only one set of multi-bumps per song. This is different from the previous system where sets of multi-bumps were created based on when a listener bumped a song.

For example, say Bob has a 2x, 4x and a 5x multi-bump on one track when the song was at 23 points, 45 points and 119 points respectively. Under the new system Bob only has a single (2+4+5)x = 11x multi-bump on the track starting at 23 points.

However, thesixtyone still keeps track of how many points a track is at for each bump-- so the rewards calculations have not changed.

So say Bob gets in on a new track as the first discoverer with a single bump. If he pads that discovery with additional bumps when the track hits the home page, those late-stage multi-bumps will have the same small effect on his rewards payout.

I can't speak for Carol but I think this is a good idea - Bob and Alice can both take a flying leap.

I would like to see a easier way to see just how many time I have bumped a song. Maybe a small number overlaid on the track icon.
