We are an alternative folktronica band from the University of Illinois.

It all started when our leader Kurt started devising electronic devices to make music. Soon thereafter, he gathered together a guitarist/vocalist, drummer, and trumpet player, and the Forbidden Parallels were born.

The next year, we added another vocalist, a violinist and finally a euphonium, bringing us to the current membership.
