What began as Payne’s early start making music on his Mac, the addition of drummer Helder Defrietas and Chris Lam on Bass and keyboards, a musical partnership was borne of intoxicating boldness and creativity.

Playdeaf’s sound is pure, raw and uncompromising, layered with passionate, gut punching vocals, dynamic bass lines and lavish drums & guitar tones. Live, this lethal mix of textures is overwhelming.

Now, signed with Red Rebel Records, the Toronto based trio is poised to take a great musical leap forward with the a new full length Album Release in Australia scheduled for 2011, with supporting music videos in development.
