Gaezzetti are a like minded septet out of central and southern NJ focused on making unique and approachable songs with great depth. The band comes from many different musical backgrounds with members from the esteemed jazz foursome, LP Stiles, to the indie-pop vocal work of Dan Wythoff, to the more progressive, hardcore stylings of the late Wesley, to the electro-synth pop of Declans Well. Gaezzetti is a band of musicians that are all active outside of the group but come together to make music that is a true sonic blend of all the band’s extracurriculars.
Musically, Gaezzetti are notorious for layering multiple guitars and ambient sounds both on record and the stage. Behind this, Drummer Brandon Cuba and percussionist/sampler Keenan Gaynor provide the audience something to move to while three guitarists, Joey Stasio, Todd Pritchard, and Dan Wythoff supply an unmatched wall of tonal sound, lush with delay and a bright, distinct acoustic guitar. Andrew Roibal, Gaezzetti’s bassist, sees his role as not just a bassist, but another instrument in the final product, providing a backbone dripping with warm fuzz, synth bass, and another excited, intense backup voice. Four voices never sounded so good: celestial harmonies and an invigorating sense of melody support each of Gaezzetti’s established lineup of originals, which is just an after-effect of the band’s notion that good music can’t be too familiar. Gaezzetti create a richly layered and dynamic set of songs intended to give you chills from start to finish, and they do it with a mountain of tantalizing effects, advanced sense of rhythm, and incredible musicianship.
