Hello,

I noticed you were one of my listeners on thesixtyone, and was wondering if you’d vote for me for the Austin City Limits “Sound and the Fury” competition. It’s a chance for me to play on one of the main stages during the Austin City Limits festival, which would be awesome! I really only need a few hundred votes to be considered in the top 100, and you can vote once a day until voting closes to the public on the 22nd of August. Make sure you confirm your vote as well when you get emailed back from the contest. Voting is free and your vote would mean an awful lot to me!

Here’s the link:

Thanks!

I caught 2 Avett's shows in the past few weeks (that Birchmere one and one at Dewey Beach, DE a couple weekends ago - which also was awesome). I just bought tickets for the Pier 6 Pavilion show here in Baltimore today and bought The Second Gleam and The Avett Brothers at Merlefest 2006 today as well. I'm also entertaining the thought of flying to Louisville, KY for the Sept 27th show there. So, today has been an all-Avetts day. Otherwise, I've just been taking a hiatus from the61 to get back to getting work done and all that. Just trying to kick my intense addiction to this place...and I think I've managed to do it (with help from all these changes that happened while I was avoiding logging in). I'm still here creeping around though. Still planning on coming to the Pier 6 show? I noticed someone left a comment on the Avett's Pier 6 board asking about the venue and mentioned they were from Pittsburgh, so it made me wonder if that was you. =)

another Rails update:

we just posted a new (old) tune on our page, its called "in case of fire" and, though its not one of our newer jams, we still think it's worth a listen.

love

Hey there,

Due to numerous requests, I have decided to upload a new song to the page. My official E.P. is set to be released this fall, but I figured I'd throw one more song up before that comes out.

Please go to my page and listen to, "What You See", I think you'll like it.

If you want to see the music video that was filmed for this song visit:

Thanks have a cool day,
Chase McBride

Good call on the Okkervil River. I love them, especially the banjo songs.

That guitar at the top of the page scares the crap out of me, especially when I'm listening to a song that I like. I forget it's going to blast me.

About Me

I love clever, heart wrenching, hysterical, thought-provoking, brilliant, make-your- heart-bounce lyrics.
