Hailing from the humid city of Brisbane, Australia, Kate Bradley & the Goodbye Horses create music that moves between indie rock, alt-country, punk and folk styles, which makes up the enticing, timeless sound.
Bradley was named by Billboard US as an artist to watch.
The band performed at South By South West (SXSW), Austin, Texas, and Australian SXSW Sideshow New York,USA (2008), and this year toured nationally in Australia for the Big Day Out Festival (2009).
In October, Kate will showcase her music at CMJ in New York.
"Some Storms Have Names" is the first single of Bradley's next album "Tarantula". It was produced by Brisbane's Magoo and has already got Kate a 4 star review in the Courier Mail.
Bradley has released two commercial recordings which include, her EP “Don’t You Choose Me” (2005 MGM) and her debut album “The Deeper The Sand” (2008, SugarRush Records / IODA). For both recordings Bradley received glowing reviews, including a 4 star review for the debut, from Noel Mengel in The Courier Mail:
“While the music is passionate and direct, the lyrics are subtle, mysterious, and that contrast all adds to the pleasures of discovering one of the best new artists to emerge in Australia of late.”
"Bradley holds a steady course and explores her taste for atmospheric guitar friction.." Craig Mathieson, Sydney Morning Herald.
The band are:
Kate Bradley - vocals and guitar
Martin MacDonald - guitars
Terry Dixon - bass guitar
