So...yeah.

Hey Grandesoreilles =D (big ears in French? ^_^)

Just wanted to say thanks for the bump on Ekitai! I appreciate it!

Brand new song - "Hold onto This" - just wrote and recorded a home demo of it day before yesterday... Would love to know what you think!

Tons of wonderful wishes and appreciation,
Alyse

Quick question: are any of the Zuba tracks recorded to a click track? Have to ask as remixing is a lot easier with a fixed tempo ;-)
Hope things are good with you.

Hey

I just stopped by to let you know our very own DJKaspy has three songs entered into a contest for a new theme for "Hockey Night in Canada". It's a really big deal for the winner. At least 22 million people will know it inside out within a matter of months.

Please stop by this site to vote for Daryl and maybe leave a comment.

*you need to sign up...but the site isn't spammy :D

Hola fellow Suspect listeners!
I'll be uploading another song, "Another Day Another Dollar" on Monday around 10am PDT. Seems like an appropriate theme to start the week.

Thanks to you, we're now the #2 Reggae band on t61. Wow! I did not expect such a response when I first uploaded our music. If we ever reach # 1, I'll put everything up for a free download for a while. Also, if any song reaches 700 bumps or gets revived, I'll make it available for free downloads.

And my final news for today: We'll be playing a show in Houston on 10/16. Details are on our profile page. Hopefully, I'll actually be there...trying to get some work in Houston so I can expense the airfare. It might be Suspects minus keys.... If any of y'all are thinking about coming, let me know and if I'm there come by and say "hello".

peace

In this year’s Austin City Limits contest, I still have four days until voting is closed to the public. As of right now, I am about 465 votes away from making the first cut. With your help, I’d like to try something amazing. I still want to try to make that first cut (the top 100). Unrealistic? Un-attainable? Impossible? I need your help! Tell your friends, vote everyday, and support the music that speaks to you. In an era of over-produced sound, generic chord progressions, and image over ability, I want to create something different. Help me get my music out there!

Vote at:
http://www.delllounge.com/soundandjury/?id=e20493b1-5496-4e04-9608-b9ad5baf947b

Thanks so much for your support through this, I’ve done way better than I ever thought I would! Your votes are some of the best compliments that you can give me. I promise this will be the last time I bug you to vote.

Hope you have a good week, and as always, thanks for listening,

-joshua

Arran was indeed great altho I don't know who Scott was as didn't really manage to mix too successfully with the (male) frenchies. If it was the biggest guy , he has amazing legs in stripped yellow tights!
Oh yes! Raymond and La Luce had a fantastic weekend in an amazing place with a tremendous crowd of people.
I know you're back hence the question below...however, not your first language I guess.
Envious of your trip tho.....I must get myself some relatives into far flung places of the world.....

Hope you had a great holiday! Glad you enjoyed the remixes, I've got a couple more in the pipeline (Temple Scene and Analogue Mindfield) which I hope I will be able to share fairly soon.

As to remixing Zuba, that would certainly be a challenge!

I just made 90 percent of our songs available to be downloaded for free. The one's that aren't, are in the process of being rerecorded (or are going to be remixed), and will be available for free download soon! If you are in Los Angeles on August 24th we're competing in Guitar Center's battle of the bands at the 705 club. If you are interested shoot me an email at troubleinthewind@gmail.com and I’ll get you all the details. Lastly, if you haven't already, check out my solo stuff at http://www.thesixtyone.com/#/Ryanstavern/ -Ryan

Hello,

I noticed you were one of my listeners on thesixtyone, and was wondering if you’d vote for me for the Austin City Limits “Sound and the Fury” competition. It’s a chance for me to play on one of the main stages during the Austin City Limits festival, which would be awesome! I really only need a few hundred votes to be considered in the top 100, and you can vote once a day until voting closes to the public on the 22nd of August. Make sure you confirm your vote as well when you get emailed back from the contest. Voting is free and your vote would mean an awful lot to me!
