rebellion to the mainstream corporate AOR and progressive rock blight coming out
of London and California in the mid-to-late 1970’s. As a child of ‘hipster’
parents in Bristol England, Jonny Dongel got his first taste of this new,
exciting music.

The bands in this scene were poised to produce some of the biggest stars in
the first and second waves of British Punk Rock. The 101er’s gave us Joe
Strummer. Riff Raff produced Billy Bragg. Kilburn and the High Roads were Ian
Dury’s first group...

Hi Jonny checked out all three tracks "Sorry Simon", "Radio Caroline" and "Snocker Snog & Shag". You have a powerful and unique voice. Digging the background vocals in "Snocker Snog & Shag". I host a podcast show on the internet titled Real As It Gets. Would love to have you on for an interview playing two of your tracks depending on how flexible you are. You can check out some of the interviews at www.drop.io/realasitgets. You can also email me at elijahrealasitgets@gmail.com for more information via time schedule and skype setup. Keep on writing great music. Much blessings and light.

It is funny,
The language in the comments to my songs is far worse than the language in my songs.

Yeah works for me. Sorta Pogues meets the Clash with the attitude of Irish rebel music. And the swearing can sometimes be artistically necessary in music which engages with real and passionate issues - the issue of the Maze Prison hunger strikers still horrifies me much more than any words you've used to describe it.

Thanks for the heads-up!... the track doesn't quite work for me though, sorry, I 'm also not keen on lotsa swearing :O

you've got a good sound, and a fair amount of talent. i'm american but i agree with mikegreen, below, it's good to hear a very british voice on here.

and i'm definitely looking forward to more.

Y'know I've enjoyed discovering American music on this site, and I've got used to the distinctly American feel of it all. But it feels great to find something as uniquely British as this - like being joyfully home again.....
