Hey there, since the new change with the site, I had a hard time figuring out how to find others.

I just wanted to let you know that you're now an admin for the group. Hooray!
I figured that since you were in the group long enough, so you've definitely earned a spot.

Cheers!

Hey, it's been a while since I've seen any activity from you. How are things?
I also had a few questions for you about purchasing songs from T61. I'm assuming that the format is .mp3?

Does the bitrate of the songs vary by the author/band or are they all the same?
Is the album art embedded into the file?

If we download the file and lose the song, does the song cost money to download again?

Just some thoughts. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! :)

RB #52 :-) Long time no visit and it was time to change that. Trust all is well with you. I've had an unusually busy fall and keep expecting the pace to drop off and pfffttt to that thought manifesting itself with actual real life results. However, I never give up hope. *grin* Take care, hun :-)

Hello gwynn. RB #51 is what I came here to leave you with today :-) I trust you are enjoying the fall. Our weather has been absolutely gorgeous. A few days of light rain to give the earth a drink, then back to glorious sun. Our winter tends to have periods of cloud and rain so these bright days really are treasured by us all :-) Enjoy your week-end the upcoming week.

On another note, do you happen to know why your name is green? Mine was blue for some time and then it reverted to gray.

costs one heart. Hearts are also reset every 24 hours (meaning you can't just build up a lot and then spend them, which I used to do for convenience of just max-bumping songs all at once rather than waiting). A song costing one heart limits how many songs I can bump greatly and earning them is a PITA now.

Still, I love this site. I have been exposed to more styles of music than before and am expanding my niche greatly. I'm finding songs that I like in genres that I once hated. Sorry for rant.

Personally, I preferred the point system since it was much easier to earn and then use on songs. You could earn points from songs that other people 'bumped' (doesn't have to be RB) and then spend points on songs. The more bumps you put in, the more points you earned back if it was bumped. The cost for bumping a song varied in points, but you usually would enough points to bump close to 20 songs (even on a lower level).

The difference now is that you earn respect (uses unknown) and every song

possibly that the user is actually keeping track of how man songs they've radio bumped so far. That would be ridiculous though. So for the moment, I'm scratching my head as to what the number means.

RB = Radio Bump.
"Riley - Hope Like an Ocean" is a song by Riley titled "Hope Like an Ocean".
# = ???

I'm not sure when you joined, but T61 also used to use a point system rather than hearts/rep. The RB definition may have changed due to that (as reflected by what the other person referred to)

does it strictly mean that we are bumping a song played from the radio that we like strictly from their radio? What if it's featured?

The number part doesn't make any sense to me. I don't think there's a uniform standard on it. I used to say RB x "number", where number would represent how many hearts I gave it. But I've seen some people use a number such as RB 1310. No one is on that high of a level. Perhaps it refers to the user's radio play count and then a heart?

The last explanation is

I'm glad that you are enjoying it! I really enjoy discovering all this new music as well. The people that I'm subscribed to have a really broad taste in music, which I appreciate :)

As for your question: "RB 28 Riley - Hope Like an Ocean", I'll have to quote what another person responded with: "it means i gave you a point on your radio (radio bump) for a song i saved from your radio"

I'm not quite sure what this translates to though. I mean (contd)

Hi gwynn! Thanks again for your great support of our music. Just in case you're interested, we just posted a new song today. It's kind of an old-school jazz styled piece.

It's called "HAVE YOU GOT THE TIME". We hope you enjoy it!
