HEATHER BATCHELOR

Nashville, TN

about +
An Arkansas native, Heather Batchelor fell in love with singing at an early age, and at 18 decided to move to Austin to pursue a career in music. Now 22, this acoustic/pop singer-songwriter has taken her voice and guitar to many a coffee house gig, opening for artists such as Robyn Ludwick and Mother Falcon. While a student at The University of Texas at Austin, she has performed at numerous campus events such as the 65 Roses Benefit Concert for Cystic Fibrosis and the Indian Students Association's annual Baal Danquet. Her debut EP, "Fine Line", was released in July of this year. Heather premiered her album with one release show at Austin's own Cactus Cafe and another in her home town of Little Rock, AR. She recently moved to Nashville, TN to continue promoting her EP.
I grew up listening to Carole King and Mary Chapin Carpenter, hearing melodies you can't help but sing along with and lyrics you can relate to. Besides the love of it, connecting with people through music is the reason why I write and sing. Some of my other influences include Sara Bareilles, Colbie Caillat, Liz Longley, Norah Jones, and John Mayer.
