To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Hi everyone. Just a quick note to let you all know that we won't be doing any new Hello Skyscraper tracks for a while as we're back working on our own projects again.

Slyboots are hard at work on their second (unnamed) CD, and Colab is wrapping up the first one ("Fat Tuesday").

In the meantime we may put up a remix or two of these tracks - to tide us over until the next opportunity to work on HS.

Hello Skyscraper is a trans-Atlantic collaboration between the electronic acts Slyboots and Colab that came to life while both bands were between projects. It's a story of how the three guys travelled west in search of fame and gold, but found themselves

Both bands are now focused on their own music - Slyboots is actively working on their second release (their first CD was released May 2000 on Recordings Under Construction), while Colab is finalizing the first album, "Fat Tuesday".

Oh, I LOVE "American Air" - great work! Thanks for the kind words, but you two deserve a lot for this wonderful music. Definitely let me know when you've got your individual CDs out - I'm very, very interested!

As for non-ccM Do Kashiteru material, it'll be a little longer still - we're focusing mainly on our live show at the moment, which is quite the affair...it takes a lot of work! I will certainly let you know when we have new material out, but it'll be a pretty slow process, unfortunately.

Oh, American Air...another amazing sound! Your comment? It's interesting how far we have to travel just to find what has been in front of and inside of us all along *smiles*.
