The new baby must be keeping ya occupied, because it looks like you haven't been on here for a while. Thank goodness you find time to post on the blog!

OK...we're posting up a new song today at 12:34pm (Central Daylight Time). It's called "Heroes." If you're feelin' bumpy, be there.

I mean...if ya wanna.

No pressure.

So...here's a bit of forewarning, you mad bumper you. We'll be uploading a new tune, "Big Black Car," to T61 sometime around 12:06pm (CDT) today. It's a happy-go-lucky murder song with a fun beat. It's also a track from our latest CD, The Center of the Universe, which is currently being featured as a "recommended CD" in the April issue of Paste Magazine...which makes us very happy.

You can, in fact, listen to our music at a Paste listening station in your local indie music shop. While doing so, feel free to exclaim loudly, jump up and down and make generally orgasmic faces. This will make the store manager very happy. (Us too.)

"Enough with the shameless self promotion already," you're probably muttering to yourself between whispered curses. "Get your poncy verbiage off my comment wall, you twittering hack."

All right already. Just throw a few bumps our way if ya like what ya hear...OK?

All right...here's a heads up. At or around 7:13pm (Central Daylight Time) today (March 26) Admiral Twin (that's us) will upload a new track to T61. It's called "The Fools' Brigade." It's in 6/8 time. It's cynical...but fun. There's even a real-deal tavern singalong chorus at the end. We think you'll like it.

OK then...

I like to promote the music of my friends when I believe in their material. There's one singer that I should have already been telling everybody about a long time ago, but she has the disadvantage of having me doing the mixing, mastering and music for her songs.

Please allow me to direct your attention to my wife's page on thesixtyone, and our page as well. I have just posted songs on both profiles.

Rachael Layne on thesixtyone
Glenn and Rachael on thesixtyone

"Presenting to You" was created for a benefit CD that should be availalbe again in the near future. The website needs to be revamped.

"Need Stilts" is often considered to be one of the greatest songs I have ever taken part in writing.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hey there,

Deshead's a friend of mine from Songfight. He's better than his bump and listener stats reflect.

He also just uploaded a new song called "Nothing Left". I like it, I bumped it several times, and maybe you'll like it too. That's why I am telling you about it.

ROCK!

You have shown some serious support for me. I'm certain that I have thanked you before, but I wanted to be sure to thank you again. Seriously, check out these stats:

Captain S Theme Song = 1 bump
El Balazo = 1 bump
Georgia's Hand = 1 bump
Go Home, Please = 1 bump
Hopeless = 2 bumps
I Can Not Function = 1 bump
I Fell Flat = 1 bump
I'm Only Sleeping = 5 bumps
Just a Friend = 2 bumps
Let's Stay Together = 8 bumps
Pencil Me In = 1 bump
Stapler = 1 bump
Take on Me = 1 bump
Wedding Song = 1 bump
Total = 27 bumps

It goes without saying that you absolutely rock!

I won't be putting any new songs on here for a long time. I'm BEYOND maxed out with 21 songs. I will have to reach level 20 to put up anything new, and the highest rated artist is at level 17 right now. It's safe to say it's going to be a while.

Then again, 21 songs is a probably a lot to absorb. I'd tell you where to find more, but you already know. Thanks again for all of your amazing support.

ROCK!

Hello there,

"Go Home, Please" hit the front page over the weekend, and that was a very pleasant surprise. You helped to make that happen by bumping the song, so thank you!

I wrote and recorded it around a year ago while I was trying to complete 14 songs for February Album Writing Month. I was very happy with the song at first, but over time I started wondering if the ending was too cheesy, and I regarded it as one of my weaker tracks that had come out of the process.

I recently re-evaluated the song and thought "Maybe they will like this on thesixtyone." So, I really didn't know whether people were going to like it or not when I uploaded it.

With that in mind? Thank you for bumping "Go Home, Please" and proving my doubts to be unnecessary.

ROCK!

Thank you for bumping "El Balazo"! Here's a little bit of history behind the song.

"El Balazo" features my wife Rachael Layne. Her account on thesixtyone is sparse right now, but it does exist. She's singing all of the chorus vocals, I am singing all of the verse vocals.

I figured that I might be taking a risk by putting this one on here. It's radically different from any of the other songs I have posted thus far, so it might not appeal to as many of the people that have bumped my previous songs. Hopefully it will still find an audience of people that like it.

When we were challenged with the title, we discovered the translation is "The Shot." We decided to tackle the topic of type 2 Diabetes, a condition that she was diagnosed with a couple of years ago, and was probably living with for years before that. (Althought I am now being informed the translation is technically GUNshot. whoops. Still seems strangely appropriate somehow.)

Again, thank you for bumping the song.

ROCK!

The first 61.com fan podcast is finally up and the grand finale of show #1 is an interview with Hidari! I won't be spamming you with this anymore. I just noticed you liked their stuff.

In iTunes (or whatever aggregator you use to grab podcasts) click Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast > then copy and paste this http://feeds.feedburner.com/libsyn/aSnO
in the box that pops up.

Hit me up if you want to be part of the show. Major props to everyone that contributed.
