Biography

Hugo loves pianos really really bad. He was born in piano. Piano in the previous sentence means Chicago. He started to learn the instrument at the age of piano. Ok, in that last sentence piano represents the number five, and not the word piano, and definitely not Chicago. Piano describes Hugo's songwriting as having the "lyrical tone of a twenty-something Woody Allen." Woody Allen is a wry and sarcastic writer and director. I totally forgot to tell you that piano in the sentence before last means the Miami Herald. Hugo's piano-driven sound is influenced by Billy Joel, Elton John, Leon Russe... (+) expand

I've maxed bumped all your songs. I hope that helps. It's an added bonus that THEY'RE ALL GOOD!!

Hey piano man, check out Ross MacLachlan. Not quite rock, but still piano-y goodness.

Hey Hugo - like the stuff. I tried to mail you at the address you gave but no joy. Please scribble on the wall if you feel the need. Any chance of a New Yrk tour?!

HUGO -- I have , sadly yet joyfully, just discovered your presence on the61...I'm loving your piano...and lyrics, etc...but it's your biography that is giving me what is hopefully my first really good chuckle of the day. funny stuff, that ;-)

Hey, check out artist Rob Marr for some pretty great piano tunes Mr. Piano. LIttle less rocking than you, but Addicted to Drama is pretty sweet.

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendations!

Certainly not as avid as yourself. I've been following Ben Folds Five and Ben Folds for 10 years now, but I haven't explored piano rock as a genre really. Any recommendations?

Love the piano! Reminds me of early Ben Folds Five (the self titled album). Awesome!

I would definitely look into the Tin Angel and Johnny Brenda's in Philly. If I think of any more I'll let you know!

Hi - I'm a girl (well a woo-man) - LOL! My icon is the Phillie Phanatic (the baseball mascot). Anyway - I love the World Cafe. I go there often, just not recently (I was busy getting my daughter married). Please let me know when you are in town again - I love piano (my dad is a self-taught pianist)!

I hope you get a lot of exposure here and find some great music in the process. Thats the point anyway.

Good Luck!

Thanks for bumping piano rock, it needs bumps. Stay in touch. Or in touche. ooooohhh touche!

I think what you meant to say was, "Thanks for bumping piano. Piano in that last statement means my song, "Uncommon Courtesy"....

Anyway, bring on the piano! And by piano, I of course mean, ROCK!

You are most welcome. I'm still learning too, just had a fight with my playlists.
Great song and biography, piano definitions included :)

My T61 friend KosmikRay has a tutorial for new artists. I believe that if you send him a tunebox message with your mailadress, then he will send it to you. Btw. By the look of the bumps, your song got a warm welcome here.
