Huunter (http://www.huunter.com/) is an artistic pseudonym created as an umbrella to publish all my visual and musical endeavors under. The first use of the name was on my debut album “Shantih” a minimalist/classical album dedicated to the life of my late grandmother. After releasing the album locally I decided to really concentrate on taking my music to the next level.
The result is “The Ultraviolet Catastrophe”. The four tracks take you on a forty minute journey through avant-garde/classical dance music. The initial idea stemmed from a live set by Booka Shade I witnessed at the 2008 Lollapallooza. Watching the crowd respond so viscerally to the four-on-the-floor beats inspired me to create the same effect with classical instruments. After months composing and arranging I have arrived at the finished product, which, I believe, really has taken my name and music to the next level.
