Founded in Guadeloupe (FWI) in 2002, Iguane Xtet is composed of musicians coming from various origins. West Indies and Europe meet up to create a music with various influences blending jazz, rock and Caribbean music.
Beguine, mazurka, funk, jazz and modern gwoka become entangled to give birth to original compositions where poetry is always present.
Iguane Xtet invites us to discover a warm and colourful vision where improvisation and exchange are keywords. It is amazing how this music feels familiar and new at the same time and how easily it builds bridges between various musical universes in a language understood by everyone….
