Come and say hi on: www.myspace.com/thejaijames

I'm an English singer-songwriter/guitarist (with a penchant for slide) influenced by Dylan, Drake, Baudelaire, Absinthe, Keith Richards and a whole lot more. And although my lyrics can take a few fey psychedelic turns (e.g. The Whale Song), there's still a blues-rocker inside fighting to get out(check out my song 'Come Alive').

I started off just a guitar player inspired by AC/DC's Angus Young. Played in proto-Grunge band Ged's Slippers (featuring Alex Beveridge, later of Liverpool's techno noise terrorists Ism on vocals) on the Wigan music scene in the early 90's. Over the years I've honed my songwriting and discovered my singing voice, in part from spending some good times as one third (guitar & vocals/bass) of power-pop trio
The Gentleman's Club, alongside Mr Alan Neilson (guitar & vocals/bass/drums) and Richie Hewett (guitar & vocals/drums).

Over the last few years I've returned to folky roots that stretch back before I was born (my Dad was an acid-folk singer songwriter who recorded for CBS in the 60's).

Find me on myspace for more stuff /thejaijames and spread the word.

But most important of all: Enjoy!
