A bit more about me:

I started experimenting with songwriting about 6 years ago. I had been playing the guitar since I was 14, but I was always focused on just the instrumental aspect of the songs I played. I bought an acoustic guitar after high school and then started playing cover songs for friends (which required working on the singing aspect!) My focus shifted to seeing songs in a way I previously never had; I starting writing probably as a natural consequence of this...just wanting speak my own voice instead of others. After writing a few songs, I found it was getting more difficult to remember them all, and especially small pieces of unfinished songs. It sucks to come up with something cool and then forget it the next day! I started recording rough demos just to keep track of my material. After a few years I had a nice collection of acoustic songs I really liked, and so I started recording the full length album 'Burst' with my friend Jon producing in 2007/08. It took about 1.5 years of working off and on, recording in a ton of places from homes to studios and back to homes. My cousin Jordan did all the great drum work. The album was mixed by Jon, mastered and then finally ready for release near the end of 2008. The album is currently available in digital format at most online retailers. I'm working on artwork for the CD release, which hopefully should be ready in April of 2009.

For the future, I'll be concentrating on playing some live shows and writing more songs!
