I grew up in a small town outside of Sacramento California. The first time I picked up a guitar was when I was around 11 years old. From then on I started writing my own songs, and it wasn't until I was 19 that I knew I wanted to make a career out of being a songwriter and artist. My biggest musical influences growing up were Sublime, No Doubt, Bob Marley, The Carpenters, the list goes on, but I had a love for all types of music. When I was 20 I began studying with a professional songwriting teacher, and for two years I studied every aspect of songwriting. Now I am working on recording songs that I wrote this past year and getting them up on my myspace music page. Never give up on your dreams!!! -Jeanette
