To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

2007-2017

Thank you for being a part of it.

Farewell,

James Miao & Samuel Hsiung

I found you here: https://open.spotify.com/user/jenny_1661, but, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to follow anyone. They recently changed the web interface and it's all but unusable.

Thank you Jenny, been wonderful to get to know you and a bit of what's going on in your world as well! Your radio seems to know what's happening, it was ominous last time and deflating this time,
-> Sofia Talvik - When Winter Comes
-> Missy Higgins - Where I Stood
-> Jenifer Jackson - The Beauty in the Emptying
-> LP - Into The Wild (Studio Version)
-> Rasmus Söderberg - Done
but let's continue partying until the music stops ^,^

It's been a memorable experience, meeting you here. You are such an amazing individual. The world is so much better because you are in it. You bring a special gift and leave in your path, the feeling of having touched ever so briefly, something that is pure magic. Thank you for sharing your words and self in this most unexpected place. May the road rise to meet you, may the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. *many hugs*

Hallo Jenny, I hope the dance photos have gone well today, providing memories and showcasing the work that you and your students have done this year. Congratulations on getting them this far! It's great that you've enabled them to be so creative!

(Wow, such depressing titles, haha! I hope your mood is much brighter than your radio's!)

You're right about the unusual nature of just how public things are here. Sometimes I wonder whether I _should_ share, or sometimes hold back, because of that, the site is *supposed* to be about music, but it is also about the community we have here, and with wonderful people like @Calista, @Gingerbelle and yourself (amongst others!), I wanna share a piece of my life with y'all! And I enjoy what you all share in return :D

#1409 - Jeremy Fisher with "Jolene"

I had a great visit with my friend. We went to a cafe/pub on the water and chatted for 3 hours with the beautiful view of ships and boats of various sizes passing in the distance. *sighs* We laughed, talked, caught up and made plans to do it all again. She takes her books and studies there once a week and said she will be picking me up so I can join her and either sit and read or go for a walk knowing someone will come and look for me if I faint. :-)

Hello beautiful one. :-) Wondering if the costumes arrived in time for the photos.

This has been such a wonderful week. Feels like I've elevated a few stories and am cruising along in the fresh air. I have started leaving my windows open all day - it's so nice to be able to do that. The sun is still fighting the clouds for equal time in our skies however even the clouds have taken on a changed appearance. Trying out their spring look. :-)

Yikes! :-) Nurture is the name of the game and simply taking the time to listen to our children is a major accomplishment.

I would love to stay and chat but I have to get ready to spend time with my visitor that I haven't seen or talked with for far too many years. I'm getting rather excited by it all. She is young, vibrant, bright and so funny! We have been busy messenging each other today and already I hurt from laughing so much. :-)

Thank you for all your bumps and messages. And thank you for not taking offense at my natural tendency to push the edges. :-) I truly understand what the speaker was saying. I remember my daughter's dad telling her that she shouldn't become a nurse because she would never find full time work (has been working f/time almost since graduation). He dashed her dreams of becoming an archaeologist for the same reason. He never got to follow his dream. :-(
