Jet Set Satellite is a rock band...
A REAL ROCK BAND.
Like they used to make, back before the music turned into the music business and everything went to hell. This is five guys, devoid of ego, who couldn't imagine playing with anyone else, who respect each other as musicians and have discovered an undeniable chemistry amongst themselves and the noise they make together.
We could tell you who they've played with, what their name means and how they started but none of that really matters when you put on one of their albums and are instantly taken away to a better place.
You're not going to care how old they were when they started playing their instruments, who their influences are or where they're originally from when you see them staring you down in a hot, sweaty club - exploding with power, feeding on passion and impossible to ignore.
A year and a half ago, they finally had all the right people to write with, play with and be with, and so they toured as much as they could – 50 shows in 2006. No doors were opened for this band – they clawed their way across the country, largely on shows they booked themselves. The sound continued to evolve, with input of these new creative forces. They played some more - a lot more - wrote some more, lived some more and now, on the eve of the release of their third album, feel stronger and fitter than ever.
Every show for them is catharsis - they never call it in. They dress in black, they love their fans, they keep it tight.
After opening slots for Buckcherry, Three Days Grace, Nickelback, The Stereophonics, Theory Of A Deadman, Default, 3 Doors Down, Thornley and Goldfinger, as well as TV synchronizations on hit shows "ER", "Dead Like Me", and "Tru Calling", and in films such as "American Outlaws" and "Soul Survivors", live audiences are learning the band's world-class chops are a force to be reckoned with.
"We like recording but the stage is where we live," explains singer Trevor Tuminski. "We take great pride in being a real band, that represents its work and then some."
The new songs are heavy. Sexy. Road-tested and stage-driven. Immediate. The meat left on the bone.
The Beast, Ladykiller, Resurrexit, This Is Not A Come On...titles that mean business. They mean business. This is the showdown and these five gentlemen are coming out, guns blazing and taking numbers.
