Band with various influences from rock, indie, garage, and environmental, formed in September 2007, by Vasco Marques (guitar), João Silva (guitar), Julio Pereira (drums) and Renato Portela (bass). After several auditions, they’ve rediscovered themselves as an ambiguous, bipolar and fragmented character. In this Revelation, there was the "Voice." Four cries gave birth to one.
Summer 2009. Time to reflect. Time to rest. Time to write. The four sons of JOAH ANN LEE embark on recording an EP called LION FISH. Four different ways of looking at the world.
During this same period, live performances took place- Braga, Guimaraes, Figueira da Foz, Palmela, Benavente, culminating in two memorable concerts in the band’s hometown: Lisbon ... The live performances are vibrant, environmental, ...an intimate reflection of the band’s particular aesthetic.
Fall / Winter 2010. Time to Migrate. A Transformation into a new entity. Again in the studio, through unknown territories in search of new horizons. Twelve signals, twelve seasons into the future - THE GREAT MIGRATION. The first full length, a voyage into the violent relationship of three characters that stereotype the human psyche.
JOAH ANN LEE lives in the human threshold. The representation of the naivety of the child and manipulation of the adult mind. Under the dim light of the cigarette, a latent desire for promiscuity ... in us...
