Originally, I was trained as a classical pianist but in my late teens my ears were opened to the sounds of Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Roberta Flack and all things Motown. I immersed myself in that style and instantaneously decided I wanted to be involved in creating music.

Having the passion but no idea where to start I went on to study Contemporary Vocals and Song Writing at the School of Creative Arts in Sydney and graduated first in my year. It was there I was introduced to the sound of artists such a Jill Scott, Me’shell Ndegeocello, Erykah Badu, India Arie and other such innovators of music. Full of inspiration I began exploring new styles of composition in Soul/Jazz and started creating with some of Sydney’s finest musicians.

After much anticipation I released the EP "Natural Progression" in August 2006 with overwhelming success. I'm now writing for my new album and haven’t looked back since. Feel free to listen to the fruit of my labour . . . . .
