Just Another Snake Cult’s Þórir Bogason is a multi-instrumentalist and avid DIY and home-recording enthusiast. In December 2009 he moved to Reykjavík and shortly thereafter started making headway on his lo-fi, psychedelic pop recordings.

For live performances he is supported by a variety of regional backing groups. His most active touring band, based in Seattle, is comprised of the principle members of Mega Bog, Iji, and Sundance Kids. Debut full-length The Dionysian Season (2010) features contributions from Rachel Fannan (of Sleepy Sun).

Prior to Just Another Snake Cult, Þórir spearheaded the surf/garage band Monsters from Mars and was a member of the indie pop band James Rabbit.
