Biography

There is no denying that Jay Walker and the Misdemeanors love what they do – making music. Attempting to express this in a concise, verbal manner seems a daunting, if not impossible, task. A soulful concoction of alternative rock sounds with funk influenced booty shakin' grooves, this group thrives both in the studio and on stage.

Initially formed in the winter of 2006 by brothers Ian and Michael Reynolds, the dynamic South African duo decided to try their hand at turn... (+) expand

Phew...after rereading my comment from the other day below, it sounds like I made the next couple years out to be a drag. Not what I meant at all. Just meant if you're doing this well now, you're only gonna get better. So, sorry about that and good luck at the Battle of the Bands.

So do you guys have a record that one can buy? I do a internet radio show and would love give you guys some play.

I highly doubt being young is going to hurt you at all. That was part of my amazement (and an incredible selling point) when listening to your music. If you sound this good now, imagine what you'll sound like in a few more years with a couple albums, lots of practice, and mastery of that pesky mixer under your belts.

That you're that young blows my mind.
Everything is well recorded, the instrumentation is tight and the vocals are those of a trained professional.

So, I hear you guys are high schoolers and early college folk. You sure don't sound like it. You sound more like seasoned vets. You make me wish I had tried to learn to play guitar much earlier in life rather than now, in the boring post-college afterlife. I don't see you guys staying undiscovered (in real life - not just on thesixtyone) for too much longer...

I assume the photo isn't current. If it is, kids grow up so fast
