My name is Kelly & I write & sing songs on the guitar & piano. You may have seen me play live or maybe heard some of them on T.V, radio, soundtrack or sampler.
The new album “Everything Must Go” was recorded with my longtime Producer Thom Flowers at The Shire Recorders in Austin, Texas.
We assembled some great musicians in L.A & Austin including some band mates & friends Cisco Deluna (Guitars, Lap Steel, Accordion, Mandolin), Ben Pringle (Bass, Guitar, Keys, Vocals), Mick Flowers (Drums, Percussion), Milo Decruz (Bass), Chuck Vaughan (Organ, Guitar, Vocals) Donny Wynn (Drums, Percussion), Emile Millar (Keys, Vocals) Thom Flowers (Guitars, Keys, Bass), Angus Cooke (Cello), Elizabeth Warren (Violin), a few harmonicas, and a few pianos

I was born in Hollywood, Ca. & I've grown up & lived in about every part of the Los Angeles area but never further than 25 miles from where I was born. Some people find this strange but it feels pretty normal to me.
Music was influential while growing up as both my parents, who were in the 60's folk group "The Back Porch Majority", went on to write & produce albums & T.V/Radio jingles & commercials.
As a teenager, I began writing songs. I played guitar in local bands, made a few indie albums, had some great times, but always felt like something was missing.
Unfortunately, in a short amount of time I lost a few people who were very close to me.
I took a deep breath and some deep thoughts about my own life. I felt it was time to get over my stage fright & start singing.
In 2005, I found a comfortable home at The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, where local singer songwriters were playing nightly. Coincidentally it was a few blocks from where I was born. I drew inspiration and befriended other local artists who were also getting their start and shared the same passion in songwriting and performing as I did.
With the support of Producers Thom Flowers & Emile Millar, I recorded my first album “The Love In Every Bar” with some great local musicians Milo Decruz (Ryan Adams, Duncan Shiek) Mick Flowers (The Playing Favorites, The Rentals) Joshua Grange (Dwight Yoakum, K.D. Lang) & Jebin Bruni (Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann).
In 2008, I recorded a 6 song acoustic EP titled “Home” with Producer Thom Flowers in Santa Barbara, Ca. Some of my live band buddies Cisco Deluna (dobro, accordion) & Ben Pringle (organs, vocals) came in and added their magic. Also, my friend and fellow Singer Songwriter Holly Brook (Fort Minor) completed it by adding her beautiful voice.
Earlier this year, Matthew Schutt wrote & directed a video for "Let Me In" which is nominated in several film festivals this summer for "Music Video of the Year" including the Swansea in France & Dances with Films in Los Angeles.
