Kingfishers Catch Fire is an alt-folk band from London. The music takes its influence from various sources, including Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins, Jeremy Enigk, Mew, R.E.M., Simon and Garfunkel, The Smiths and …Trail of Dead. The sound is epic, orchestral, pastoral and uplifting. The lyrics blend autobiography and fiction. Live performances combine intricate guitars, piano, strings and close harmonies with drums, soundscapes and projections.
