Biography

Representing Brighton UK, Koaste first hit the scene in the late nineties as an emcee with 360 Physicals, alongside amongst others, beatboxer Killa Kela and turntablist crew The Flaredycats. 360 rocked shows at various venues around the country and were heralded as a crew to watch in DJ Magazine, but split up before ever getting a proper release.

Do you happen to know what Foreign Beggars are up to? They stayed with me back in 02 in Brooklyn a few years ago on some random shit. Except Orifice. He had passport issues.

Hehe - just good timing on my part, I suppose! I started an internet radio show on Live365.com a little over a month ago. I call it The HEAD Bakery, where the idea I suppose would be playing music that sounds really good in headphones and "bakes" your gray matter, so to speak. The HEAD stands for the mix of Hip-hop, Electronic, Alternative and Dance - although I would say "Alternative" makes up the bulk of the mix, with Hip-hop coming in 2nd. I'm trying to balance the mix out well, but I'm also not really married to specific genre. Really good hip-hop that grabs me is harder to find, so I glad I "found" your track.
Anyway - hope you get a chance to check out the show:

I do a new show every Friday night US time and restream the broadcast thru the week. I'm hoping to have a little home here at the sixtyone where I can find and promote lesser heard music. Sorry if this comment ran long. :) Peace!

Yo Koko, what's good fam? What is this place? I keep thanking people for bumps but I only usually do that after someone has shoved a bankcard with some white powder on it under my snozzle.

I believe that at the moment it is just a case of uploading music and waiting for people to bump it. As you level up you can then add more tracks. Seems like these guys have big plans though and things are changing all the time.

News

New up! Splash The Cash, taken off the new Black Grass LP 'Three' which you all need to go buy as its a work of genius. We've just got back from touring Australia, and it was off the hook. Gonna get myself back over there as soon as possible!

Second up we've got Drop Somethin' which was on the cover CD of Hip Hop Connection magazine this month, and is a straight up banger. Pow.

Please leave comments about the tracks - always good to hear feedback!
