The Lark Descending believes in: the beauty and terror of a decaying world; inquiry in the face of death; the impotence of regret; the overthrow of the capitalist hegemony; and the restoration of love as the supreme ideal.

The Lark Descending uses instruments he does not know how to play and sings as best he can – he once sang in a Cathedral Choir to a god he once believed in and now mumbles in a way that pleases himself. His music is lyrical and sad folk.
