biography
Second Life singer-songwriter Leslee McCarey (known in real-life music circles as Leslie McKay) is a Pacific Northwest native who blends folk, contemporary and classical influences into a powerful personal statement. Her diverse original material covers the full emotional spectrum, from sensitive love song to rollicking slice-of-life humor, from good-time toe-tappers to thoughtful mood-pieces. Leslie's clean acoustic guitar and sophisticated piano provide a backdrop for her dynamic contralto vocals.

Leslie performs at a variety of venues in Second Life (www.secondlife.com), with information avaiable about upcoming gigs at her website, www.lesliemckay.com, and via Twitter (twitter.com/lesliemckay). She has performed at festivals, conferences, coffee houses, noisy bars and kitchens from Seattle to Santa Fe, including appearances in Spokane, Portland and San Francisco. Appearances in the Northwest have included the Northwest Folklife Festival, Oregon Folklife Festival, Ballard Seafood Fest, and the Seattle Wooden Boat Show.

Hey there! Just writing to let you know that I just uploaded four more Live in SL songs (better volume levels this time) and I'm still working on some more produced versions with harmonies and all that good stuff. Leave a comment if you are so inclined. They are fun to read! Yay! :D
Respect! Free

Lyn You and I think alike - if you look at the comment I left on "Only a Rose" I think you'll see we had an almost identical impression.

What a lovely songs! Your voice is kinda reminiscent of someone - Grace Slick? Sandy Denny ? ....probably way before your time :) I've never seen your name in SL but I guess you're playing far too late for listeners in the UK

I close my eyes and imagine myself sitting in a moss-covered pub on the edge of some moor or another. Looking forward to more, and yeah, I've been lazy... gotta ask when we need to turn the clocktower into a mossy stonescape for a performance by you...
