You're a good songwriter.
Good vibes here!

That talk about overdubs prompted me to upload the best example of that. Check out the vocals at the end of Stick It To The Man...completely over the top.

Thanks! I play keys and scream.
We spent the $$$ on a good studio with an engineer who understood horn sections (think large Tejano bands) and kept using him for all 4 CDs. So, that helped a lot. You can hear our evolution of understanding what we wanted to accomplish in the studio from CD to CD. The last one (Lost Along The Way) got a bit out of control with the overdubs, however.

Yeah, we're pretty much defunct, but have played two reunion shows in Houston the last two Xmas seasons. Based on the turnout for those, there's rumblings of another gig in October and others on a more regular basis. But...I live in SF now so that's an expensive venture for me unless I can tie it in with a work trip, so they'll have fun without me.

I knew it was a cover...just never checked to see who it was by, and I'm not a big DeathCab fan anyways. But...I've checked out the original, and I can honestly say that I like your version better. :-)

My band did a cover that's posted up here for what it's worth. Search for Seek & Destroy by the Suspects.

peace

this is some sweet music you're making, loren. and i'm not just saying that because it sounds a little like mine! ;) your technique, both singing and playing, seems a lot more refined -- i'm sort of a primitive. but we've got lots of the same influences, aiming at about the same aesthetic.

Anytime--you keep making music like this, and you'll keep getting all the bumps I can give you.

I loooove the new song. I thought it'd be bad t61 etiquette to first bump the same artist twice, but I couldn't resist. I'm a sucker for acoustic guitar and lovely lyrics.

It's all good, but that one is my favorite.

Great music dude. When I'm in Cali I'll be sure to hit up one of your shows.

Wow yeah that helped a whole lot actually, and it makes perfect sense! I just have to play with it a little to get the alternating finger picking but other then that yeah it sounds awesome ! Thanks a million! Goodluck with the rest of the music, let me know if theres anything new i would love to check it out !

Take care, Dylan!

did you use your own tab or sheet music for Trapeze Swinger ? if not would of possibly be able to tell me where you got it cause i've been looking for ages and haven't been able to find decent tab for this song.

Thanks, Dyliano!

P.S. You did a great job covering it I've been listening to it more the orginal lately!

News

well i've got some really exciting news. the band finished and mailed our master cd to be duplicated last friday! we're using oasis (oasiscd.com) and they said after they get the art proofs done it's eight business days, my estimate is september third for us to receive our cd's! i'm so beyond excited, honestly, the cd is sounding better than i'd ever expected.

i can't wait to get these discs in hand and start giving them out!

the downside to this, unfortunately, is that we're not gonna be able to offer our songs for free download anymore once the cd comes out. just wouldn't be right, y'know? so get 'em while you can, because here, the myspace, and the website are all going to lose their free downloads as soon as we start selling the album.

Thanks a lot for your continued support, I really hope that some of you who are local will be able to come to one of our CD Release shows in September, and those of you from out of the area, don't despair, the album'll be out on CDBaby before you know it!

Thanks again everyone, later,

-loren
