Four hairy guys crossed paths in the neutral land of Switzerland. Not sharing a common language or culture, they settled on communicating in Love and the love for making people get up and shake their ass to musical expression. Alas, Love Bunker was formed.
Admiral Lovekey (a.k.a. Nathan) hopped over an entire continent and swam across a large ocean to implant himself in a strange setting, traveling from Seattle in the USA. His love weapons include his sugary falsetto, a rhythmic guitar, and a tangy tambourine.
Vladimir Moustachey (a.k.a. Pär) hails from the bipolar cold/dark, warm/light Stockholm, Sweden, where happy electronic-pop melodies flow like wine. His love weapons include his honey-coated voice, a dirty synthesizer, self-programmed electronic beats on a laptop, and a heart-breaking piano.
Sir Loveduke (a.k.a. Lukas) has traveled far and wide to bring the Love back to his own people, coming from Basel, Switzerland to Lausanne and back. His love weapons include his punchy dance bass and his uncanny ability to pull off sexy moves on and off stage.
Bongo Ben (a.k.a. Benoit) has explored the steep hills and deep valleys of this planet finally choosing to swim across a large lake bordering Switzerland and France as he originates from Thonon, France. Benoit comes armed with love, two sticks, and a drum set that is played in every imaginable way.
Not unlike a pot of well-blended Swiss fondue, Love Bunker's music is composed of a delicate balance of music drawing from the wide set of experiences its members have had exploring this globe and growing up under different conditions. Lyrics float poetically in and out of a multitude of languages: English, Swedish, Spanish, and French making it no surprise that the style of music cannot be exactly pigeonholed.
Perhaps Love Bunker's music is best described as something slightly greater than the sum of its parts: part rock, part electronic, part funk, part dub, part pirate waltz, part country, part cabaret, part bossanova, part ska, part musical, part psychedelic yodel, part garage punk, part cracked-out church choir, and part a capela opera.
When the next war comes, everyone is welcome in the Love Bunker.
